2007-08 MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM
The 2007-2008 CCS Men’s Cross Country team dominated the NWAACC competition winning the team title by 54 points and putting five runners in the top seven. The team was coached by Erik Anderson and the 2007 team was his fourth title in a row. The individual champion was Dak Riek (25:04) and beat his Sasquatch teammate, Mark Moeller, in the last 400 meters. Other team members were Tyler Rapp 4th, Charles Cummings 5th, Max Reeder 7th, Walter Juarez 10th, Jordan Butler, Blake Harmon, Justin Lukes, Stephen Olsen, Brad Serder and Justin Stipe. During the 2007 season this team beat a number of four-year colleges. At the prestigious Willamette Invite the Sasquatch harriers took second place by only five points behind the University of Montana (57-62). Out of 20 colleges, CCS beat Idaho, U of Portland, Boise State, Portland State and Gonzaga to name a few. Erik Anderson was named NWAACC Coach of the Year.
