Associate in Applied Science-Transfer

Some career and technical programs of study may offer an Associate in Applied Science Transfer (AAS-T) degree that is designed to provide transfer opportunities for students desiring to continue on toward achieving a baccalaureate degree at specific universities. An AAS-T degree is a degree awarded in a career and technical discipline that contains a minimum of 20 transferable general education credits in communications, quantitative reasoning, and social science, humanities or science. Not all programs offer the AAS-T. Consult with a program faculty member or an academic advisor/counselor to determine if your program of study offers an AAS-T and which universities they transfer into.

Associate in Arts-Direct Transfer Agreement

Associate in Arts (AA) is the community college degree designed to transfer to most bachelor's of arts degrees at all public and many private Washington four-year institutions. A candidate for the AA-DTA degree must complete 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 and above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Arts-DTA --FastTrack

This accelerated FastTrack Associate in Arts-Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) degree meets all the requirements of the AA-DTA listed above but is structured to meet these requirements in 4 quarters rather than 6 by accelerating courses and reducing breaks between courses. The FastTrack AA-DTA is fully transferable as an AA-DTA if students meet all the requirements regarding course completion, academic credit, and GPA as listed for the traditional AA-DTA degree. Associate in Biology Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

The Associate in Biology DTA/MRP is an articulated transfer agreement for future biology majors between the community colleges and most four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for this degree must complete a minimum of 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Business Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

The Associate in Business DTA/MRP degree is a statewide articulated transfer degree agreement for business majors between the community colleges and most four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for the Associate in Business degree must complete a minimum of 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Computer Science Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

The Associate in Computer Science is a statewide articulated transfer degree for computer science majors between the community colleges and most four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for the Associate in Computer Science DTA/MRP degree must complete a minimum of 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Fine Arts

The Associate in Fine Arts program offers a solid foundation of art courses and some general undergraduate requirements for the student intending to pursue a liberal arts degree or a fine arts degree (BFA) at a four-year institution or for the student who will transfer to a professional art school.

Associate in Mathematics Education Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

The Associate in Mathematics Education DTA/MRP degree is a statewide articulated transfer degree agreement for future secondary mathematics teachers between the community colleges and most four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for the Associate in Mathematics Education DTA degree must complete a minimum of 90-92 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Music Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

The Associate in Music DTA/MRP is a transfer agreement for future music majors between community colleges and select four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for the Associate in Music (DTA/MRP) degree must complete 104 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 and above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements. At least 5 credits must be W-designated (writing-intensive). At least 5 credits must be D-designated (global/diversity).

Associate in Nursing Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

This document represents an agreement between select baccalaureate institutions offering the RN to BSN program and the Washington State community and technical colleges that offer the Associate in Nursing DTA/MRP degree. This agreement meets all requirements of Washington's Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA). This pathway prepares a student for licensure as a registered nurse through Washington State community and technical colleges, as well as for entry into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion degree. This pathway does not alter the basic Associate Degree Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA).

Associate in pre-Nursing Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program

The Associate in pre-Nursing DTA/MRP degree is a statewide articulated transfer degree agreement for nursing majors between the community colleges and most four-year institutions. Students will enter the four-year institution at junior standing. Admission to Washington four-year institutions' schools of nursing is not guaranteed to students holding a pre-Nursing DTA/MRP degree. It is highly recommended that students meet with a counselor or academic adviser on a regular basis to be sure that requirements specified in this degree are met. Students should also seek academic advising at the four-year institution to which they plan to transfer early in their educational planning to learn about additional requirements and procedures for admission. A candidate for the Associate in pre-Nursing degree must complete 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Science Transfer (Track 1) - Biological Sciences, Environmental/Resource Sciences, Chemistry, Geology...

The Associate in Science Transfer (AS-T 1) degree is intended to prepare students for upper division study in the areas of biological sciences, environmental/resource sciences, chemistry, geology and earth science. A candidate for an Associate in Science Transfer degree must complete 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0, as calculated by the degree awarding institution.

Associate in Science Transfer (Track 2) - Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and Atmospheric Science

The Associate in Science Transfer (AS-T 2) degree is designed to prepare students for upper division study in the areas of engineering, computer science, physics, and atmospheric science. A candidate for an Associate in Science Transfer degree must complete 90 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 or above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0, as calculated by the degree awarding institution.

Associate in Science Transfer Track 2 - Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering Pathway (AS-T 2/MRP)

The Associate in Science-Transfer Track 2 (AS-T 2/MRP) degree following the Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering pathway is a statewide articulated transfer agreement for future engineers between community colleges and most four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for this degree must complete 95 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 and above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.

Associate in Science Transfer Track 2 - Civil and Mechanical Engineering Pathway (AS-T 2/MRP)

The Associate in Science-Transfer Track 2 (AS-T 2/MRP) degree following the Civil and Mechanical Engineering pathway is a statewide articulated transfer agreement for future engineers between community colleges and most four-year institutions in the state of Washington. A candidate for this degree must complete 105 quarter credits in academic courses numbered 100 and above with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and meet specific distribution requirements.
