Andrew Feldman, Ph.D., was selected to be the next vice president for learning at SFCC after a nationwide competitive selection process. Feldman currently serves as the dean of science, engineering and mathematics at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Ore. He begins his new position July 1.
After working in the entertainment industry, Feldman returned to school in his 30s and completed a Ph.D. in geology from Florida State University. He has more than 19 years combined teaching and administrative experience at Linn-Benton and at Luna Community College in Las Vegas, N.M.. In addition to his leadership in education, Feldman also served on the Las Vegas City Council for four years.
SFCC President Janet Gullickson said, “Dr. Feldman will strengthen the already strong presence of Spokane Falls in the community through his expertise in curriculum and instruction, diversity, STEM education and his service as a former elected city official.”
