Jenni Martin, who has been serving as interim vice president for instruction, was selected to serve in that role permanently after a nationwide competitive selection process. This will take effect on July 1.
Martin has worked at the Spokane community colleges for 17 years in various capacities including, dean of Extended Learning, assistant dean of Adult Basic Education, WorkFirst manager and adjunct faculty. Prior to working at CCS, she was employed at Eastern Washington University (EWU) as the head women’s soccer coach and also served as faculty at EWU and CCS. She has a master of education degree in adult education from EWU and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Gonzaga University.
“Vice president Martin has energetically served the students and communities of SCC for 17 years,” said SCC President Ryan Carstens. “She is a student-focused leader with a strong commitment to collaboratively develop and sustain quality programs that are responsive to community needs.”
