Spokane Colleges student-athletes delivered one of the most successful years in recent program history during the 2025–26 academic year, earning conference championships, postseason success and national recognition for the overall strength of the athletics program.
"Our student-athletes, coaches and staff demonstrated an incredible commitment to excellence this year," said Athletic Director Jim Fitzgerald. "These accomplishments reflect the hard work taking place across every one of our programs, both in competition and in the classroom. We're proud to represent Spokane Colleges and our community at such a high level."
The Sasquatch captured multiple NWAC and East Region championships while advancing several teams into conference postseason play. Men's cross country, women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s track and field each won NWAC titles. Freshman Alex Wright was selected as the 2025 NWAC Baden Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year, while head coach Sean McLachlan was named NWAC Men's Coach of the Year.
Baseball, softball, and women’s and men's soccer each claimed East Region championships, with softball reaching the NWAC Final Four, men's soccer finishing third in the conference tournament and volleyball advancing to the NWAC Elite Eight.
Spokane Colleges also earned the NWAC Athletic Directors' Cup, awarded to the conference's top overall athletics program, and finished second nationally in the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Ron Case Cup standings among state association institutions.
