Want to see Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon through the telescopes at Spokane Falls Community College?
You may get your chance on Monday, July 8, starting at 10 p.m.
Telescopes will be set up on the lawn in front of the SFCC Planetarium and open to public viewing for free because of the opportunity to see Jupiter and Saturn while they are in positions near Earth.
Located in Building 28 on campus at 3410 W. Whistalks Way, the Planetarium also will be open with images of Jupiter and Saturn displayed on the dome. A cloudy sky will cancel the event.
The SFCC state-of-the-art digital planetarium was designed as a virtual classroom into the universe for students of all ages. Since the spring of 2011, the planetarium has hosted free k-12 field trips for local schools and educational groups.
