Arab history, culture subject of talk by Moroccan scholar at Neill Public Library, May 24

Dr. Mohammed BoudoudouPULLMAN, Wash. – Dr. Mohammed Boudoudou, a Fulbright Scholar from Morocco currently in residence at the Community Colleges of Spokane, will give a public talk, “The ‘Arab World:’ Historical and Cultural Perspectives” at the Neill Public Library in Pullman on Friday, May 24, 2019. The talk is from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will end with a question-answer session.

Boudoudou is a visiting scholar at the Global Education Office of CCS and has made several appearances around the region. His research has focused on world population mobility and its effects on the social structure of society.

Boudoudou received his Ph.D. from a top-rated institution of social science in Paris (L’École des hautes études en sciences sociales), and he has been teaching for more than 30 years, including five years at the Tohoku University Graduate School of International Cultural Studies in Japan.

Boudoudou has extensive academic and research management experience in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Morocco, and he has been a consultant on migrant issues to various human rights’ organizations and European governments including Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Canada.

The Spokane Falls Community College’s Pullman campus and the Neill Public Library, 210 N. Grand Ave., Pullman, are partners in this event. The SFCC Pullman campus is located on the Washington State University campus and serves more than 200 students.
