Sasquatch Middle Blocker Joelle Mahowald has been honored as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Player of the Week. Mahowald, a sophomore from Nine Mile Falls, WA attended Lakeside High School before coming to the Community Colleges of Spokane.
As a freshman Mahowald also earned at Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) honors as a Middle Blocker. Maholwald has committed to continue her education in Elementary Education and athletic career at Montana State University Billings next year.
